Job Description

AFGRI Equipment is seeking a dedicated and versatile Farm Maintenance Hand to join our team, supporting agricultural operations across Western Australia. Based out of our Osborne Park location, this role involves a variety of tasks crucial to the upkeep and smooth running of our managed farm properties. This is an on-site position, and accommodation will be provided. You will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs, operating various farm machinery, and ensuring all infrastructure is in excellent working order. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on farm buildings, fences, and infrastructure.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, loaders, and implements.
  • Conduct routine checks and preventative maintenance on vehicles and tools.
  • Assist with irrigation system setup, maintenance, and repair.
  • Support general groundskeeping, landscaping, and property upkeep.
  • Manage minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Required Skills

  • Proven practical skills in general maintenance or handyman tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of farm machinery operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage varied tasks efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license (manual transmission preferred).
  • Excellent work ethic and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working on a farm or large rural property.
  • Trade qualification (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, mechanics) or relevant vocational training.
  • Experience with welding and fabrication.
  • First Aid certification.
  • HR or higher class driver's license.
