Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and physically fit individuals to join our Event Bumping Crew for short-term projects in Townsville. This role involves the crucial physical work required to set up and dismantle event equipment, staging, lighting, and audio systems. If you’re reliable, a team player, and ready for a dynamic, hands-on environment, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to exciting local events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the safe loading and unloading of event equipment from trucks and storage facilities.
  • Help set up and dismantle staging, audio-visual equipment, lighting rigs, and other event infrastructure.
  • Follow instructions from crew leaders and technical staff to position equipment accurately and safely.
  • Organize and store equipment efficiently before and after events.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet tight deadlines.

Required Skills

  • Strong physical fitness and stamina, capable of lifting heavy objects repeatedly.
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.
  • Ability to follow directions accurately and work unsupervised when required.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in events, warehousing, logistics, or a similar physical role.
  • Forklift license (LF class) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • Experience with basic hand tools.
