Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and physically fit individuals to join our Event Bumping Crew for short-term projects in Townsville. This role involves the crucial physical work required to set up and dismantle event equipment, staging, lighting, and audio systems. If you’re reliable, a team player, and ready for a dynamic, hands-on environment, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to exciting local events.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the safe loading and unloading of event equipment from trucks and storage facilities.
- Help set up and dismantle staging, audio-visual equipment, lighting rigs, and other event infrastructure.
- Follow instructions from crew leaders and technical staff to position equipment accurately and safely.
- Organize and store equipment efficiently before and after events.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet tight deadlines.
Required Skills
- Strong physical fitness and stamina, capable of lifting heavy objects repeatedly.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to follow directions accurately and work unsupervised when required.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in events, warehousing, logistics, or a similar physical role.
- Forklift license (LF class) or willingness to obtain one.
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Experience with basic hand tools.
