Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Casual Aged Care staff. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position involves working on a rotating roster, offering flexibility while maintaining consistent care standards. Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Administer medication as per care plans and company policies (where qualified and applicable).
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Monitor residents' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
Required Skills
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a caring attitude.
- Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
- Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and perform care tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an aged care facility or similar healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of dementia care principles.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
