Job Description
Join Amazon as a Bulk Order Picker in our Esperance E-commerce Warehouse. This role involves efficiently and accurately picking large quantities of items from various locations within the warehouse to fulfill customer orders. You will play a crucial role in ensuring products are prepared for shipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to a smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick bulk orders from warehouse shelves and storage areas using various equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, or other machinery after training).
- Verify product accuracy against order sheets, ensuring correct quantities and item types.
- Safely transport picked items to designated staging areas for packing and shipping.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and organization as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 23 kg) frequently.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to safety guidelines.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Forklift operator certification or experience operating similar warehouse equipment.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
