Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Bin Collector to join our essential waste management team. This crucial role ensures the timely and efficient collection of refuse and recycling throughout the Port Pirie district. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate refuse collection vehicles safely and efficiently along designated routes.
  • Collect household and commercial waste bins according to schedule and established procedures.
  • Ensure all waste is loaded securely into the collection vehicle.
  • Conduct daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment, reporting any faults or issues.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with members of the public.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and equipment.
  • Assist with other waste management tasks as required.

  • Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive lifting and manual tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current HR (Heavy Rigid) or MR (Medium Rigid) class driver's license.

  • Ability to operate a variety of waste collection equipment.
