Job Description
Are you ready to kickstart your career in logistics and retail operations? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Stock Controller Assistant to join our team in Bath. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity offering comprehensive full training from day one. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of stock within our distribution centre/store, contributing to a smooth operation and excellent customer experience. If you’re organised, have a keen eye for detail, and are eager to learn, this could be the perfect start for you. No prior experience is required – just a willingness to learn and a positive attitude!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Monitor stock levels and identify discrepancies, reporting issues to senior staff.
- Conduct regular stock checks and inventories to ensure data accuracy.
- Help organise and maintain the stockroom/warehouse, ensuring it is tidy and safe.
- Support the team in preparing orders for dispatch and delivery.
- Operate manual handling equipment safely and efficiently (full training provided).
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical capability to lift and move stock as required.
Preferred Qualifications
