Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Casual Aged Care Workers to join our team in Truganina, VIC. This role offers a rotating roster, providing flexibility while ensuring our residents receive continuous, high-quality care. As a Casual Aged Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily living needs of our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and overall well-being. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining residents' dignity and privacy.
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and use of mobility aids.
- Support residents with mealtime assistance and hydration.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to the nursing team.
- Engage residents in social activities and promote their overall well-being.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Accurately complete documentation and progress notes.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic resident care.
Required Skills
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in an aged care setting (minimum 6 months preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Strong understanding of person-centred care principles.
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
- Current National Police Check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with dementia care.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
- Ability to speak a second language relevant to our diverse resident population.
