Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Social Media Strategist to join our marketing and communications team in Newcastle. This role is crucial for enhancing our brand presence, engaging with key stakeholders, and driving thought leadership across various digital platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our social media strategy, ensuring alignment with our firm’s objectives and values. You will work closely with internal teams, including marketing, service lines, and HR, to create compelling content that resonates with our target audiences, from potential clients to future talent. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand visibility, engagement, and traffic.
  • Manage and maintain all corporate social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written).
  • Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a 'social' way while cultivating leads and sales.
  • Oversee social media campaigns and report on performance, identifying key trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop content strategies that align with firm-wide marketing initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, trends, and technologies.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify new opportunities.
  • Educate and advise internal stakeholders on social media best practices and policies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Strategist or similar role, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, content marketing, and online brand management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in social media management and scheduling tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience with paid social media advertising campaigns.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful social media campaigns with measurable results.
