Job Description
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Glass Collector to join our lively team at The Royal Oak Hotel. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced night environment, enjoys being part of a social scene, and is committed to maintaining a clean and safe venue for our guests. You’ll be an essential part of our operations, ensuring a smooth flow of service and contributing to the overall positive ambiance of our pub.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently collect and clear empty glasses from tables, bar areas, and throughout the venue.
- Sort and return glasses to the bar for washing, ensuring a steady supply of clean glassware.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the venue, including tables, floors, and restroom checks.
- Assist bar staff with basic restocking and general setup/pack-down duties as required.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible service of alcohol guidelines.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods during night shifts.
- Positive attitude and customer-focused approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate for Tasmania.
- Familiarity with pub or club operations.
