Job Description
Join our dedicated team as Power Network Support, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of our essential electricity network. This on-site position involves providing technical support, monitoring network performance, and assisting with incident resolution to maintain high standards of service delivery across our extensive infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor real-time network performance and identify potential issues or anomalies.
- Provide first-level technical support for network-related incidents and outages.
- Assist in the coordination and communication of network events to relevant internal teams and stakeholders.
- Utilize network management systems and tools to diagnose faults and support restoration efforts.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of operational procedures and documentation.
- Support scheduled maintenance activities by providing data and system insights.
- Collaborate with field crews and control room operators to ensure efficient problem resolution.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and operational guidelines at all times.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical distribution networks or related infrastructure.
- Proficiency in using network monitoring and control systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Competency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Previous experience in a network operations center (NOC) or similar utility environment.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and other operational technologies.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Current Victorian Driver's License.
