Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Aluminium Fabricator Offsider to join our dynamic team in Rutherford, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are keen to learn, possess a strong work ethic, and are comfortable using various power tools in a manufacturing environment. As an Offsider, you will play a crucial role in supporting our skilled fabricators, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to the production of high-quality aluminium products. Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled fabricators in the cutting, shaping, and assembly of aluminium components.
- Safely operate a range of power tools, including saws, drills, grinders, and sanders.
- Load and unload materials and finished products, potentially using overhead cranes or forklifts (training provided if required).
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Assist with general workshop duties as required to support the fabrication process.
- Handle and move aluminium extrusions and fabricated parts with care.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding and practical experience with common power tools (e.g., drills, grinders, saws).
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team.
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in metal fabrication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment.
- Current forklift license (LF Class).
- White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings.
