Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Stable Cleaner to join our team for morning work. If you have a passion for horses and a strong work ethic, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our stable facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our horses and guests. This role requires early morning availability and a commitment to animal welfare and resort standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect horse stalls, removing soiled bedding and replacing with fresh materials.
- Muck out paddocks and other equestrian areas daily.
- Clean and maintain stable equipment, including feed bins, water troughs, and grooming tools.
- Ensure all stable areas are tidy, organized, and free of hazards.
- Monitor water levels in troughs and ensure fresh water is always available.
- Report any maintenance issues or concerns regarding horse welfare to management promptly.
- Assist with basic stable duties as required, such as sweeping and general tidying.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and bending.
- Reliable and punctual, with excellent time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Must have a genuine love for horses and a compassionate approach to animal care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in stable management, horse care, or general cleaning roles.
- Knowledge of horse behavior and basic stable hygiene practices.
- Current First Aid certification.
