Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Stable Cleaner to join our team for casual morning shifts. This vital role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our stables and facilities, contributing directly to the health and well-being of our horses. Key Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect horse stalls, removing soiled bedding and replacing with fresh materials.
- Muck out paddocks and common areas to maintain cleanliness.
- Ensure water troughs are clean and filled with fresh water daily.
- Sweep and tidy stable aisles, feed rooms, and storage areas.
- Assist with basic facility maintenance as directed, such as sweeping grounds and clearing debris.
- Report any maintenance issues or unusual observations regarding horses to the Stable Manager.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and animal welfare protocols.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of animal welfare and hygiene practices.
- Own reliable transport.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with horses or in a stable environment.
- Knowledge of horse behaviour and safety around large animals.
- Current First Aid certification.
