Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Packer to join our dynamic team in Port Hedland. This full-time position operates Monday to Friday, offering top pay for individuals who are committed to excellence and efficiency in packing and preparing goods for shipment. As an Industrial Packer, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations, ensuring that all products are securely and correctly packaged according to strict company and client standards, ready for dispatch. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently pack a variety of industrial goods into appropriate containers, cartons, or pallets.
- Verify product counts, descriptions, and ensure accurate labeling for all outgoing shipments.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified), to move materials within the warehouse.
- Perform quality checks on packed items to ensure they meet specified standards and are free from damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize packing processes and meet production targets.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns promptly to supervision.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an industrial packing or warehouse environment (minimum 12 months).
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading labels and counts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift operator license (LF class).
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of various packing materials and techniques.
- First Aid certification.
