Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and reliable Civil Labourers for casual day shifts in Port Lincoln. This is an excellent opportunity to join the BMD Group on local civil construction projects, contributing to essential infrastructure development. We offer a high hourly rate for dedicated individuals who are ready to work hard and contribute to a positive team environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assisting skilled tradespeople and machine operators on various civil construction tasks.
- Performing general site duties including excavation, trenching, backfilling, and compaction.
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work site, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Operating hand and power tools as required, under supervision.
- Assisting with concrete pouring, formwork, and finishing.
- Following instructions from supervisors and site managers diligently.
- Participating in site safety briefings and contributing to a safety-first culture.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Reliability and punctuality for all shifts.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in civil construction or general labouring.
- Basic understanding of civil construction processes and equipment.
- Current driver's license and reliable transport.
- Certificates in plant operation (e.g., forklift, skid steer) are a bonus.
