Job Description

This full-time position offers the opportunity to travel nationally, supporting our drivers in delivering essential goods across Australia. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the truck driver with loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently at various locations.
  • Secure loads using appropriate restraints and checks before transit.
  • Verify accuracy of freight against delivery manifests and documentation.
  • Assist with navigating routes and communicating with dispatch as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment within the truck and during stops.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and road transport laws.
  • Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions.
  • Perform pre-start checks on vehicle equipment and report any issues.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items consistently.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail for load securing and documentation.
  • Commitment to safety protocols.
  • Valid Australian driver's license (preferred, but not essential for offsider).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar offsider, warehouse, or manual handling role.
  • Knowledge of freight handling and load restraint techniques.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Forklift license (though not strictly for offsider, could be a plus).
