Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Public Area Cleaner to join our dedicated housekeeping team at Mercure Traralgon. This role is crucial in ensuring the pristine condition and luxurious appearance of all public areas within our hotel, contributing significantly to our guests’ overall experience. You will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, reflecting our commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain all public areas of the hotel, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, dining areas, meeting rooms, and other designated zones.
  • Perform dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, and sanitizing of all surfaces.
  • Ensure all public restrooms are spotless, fully stocked, and regularly inspected.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
  • Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damage, or security concerns to the relevant department promptly.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects as required, such as deep cleaning or event setup/takedown.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with guests and colleagues.
  • Manage and organize cleaning supplies and equipment efficiently.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues as needed.
