Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Carpet Cleaning Offsider to join our dynamic team in Carnarvon, Western Australia. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to start a career in the service industry with a reputable company. As an Offsider, you will work alongside experienced technicians, assisting them with all aspects of in-home carpet and upholstery cleaning. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with no prior experience but a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. You will be instrumental in ensuring our clients receive the highest standard of service and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead technicians in setting up and packing down carpet cleaning equipment.
• Prepare client homes for cleaning, including moving light furniture and laying down protective coverings.
• Operate and maintain cleaning machinery under supervision.
• Apply cleaning solutions and treatments as directed by the lead technician.
• Perform pre-treatment, spot cleaning, and post-cleaning duties.
• Ensure the work area is clean and tidy after service completion, leaving clients' homes spotless.
• Interact professionally and courteously with clients, representing Electrodry's high standards.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and inventory of supplies, ensuring preparedness for each job.
• Adhere to all company safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Required Skills

• Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 25kg).
• Reliable and punctual, with excellent time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
• Valid Australian Driver's License (essential for travel between client sites).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service or general labour role.
• Familiarity with basic cleaning equipment or processes.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance or willingness to learn.
