Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Concierge Service Assistant to join our luxury property in Melbourne. This role is integral to delivering an outstanding guest experience, requiring a proactive approach, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine passion for hospitality. As a Concierge Service Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for many guests, providing personalized services and ensuring their stay is seamless and unforgettable. This position involves working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to meet the demands of our 24/7 luxury operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist guests with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive information about the property, local attractions, dining, and events.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests efficiently, including reservations, transportation arrangements, and special amenities.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest needs and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of local services and amenities to provide expert recommendations.
  • Assist with luggage handling, bell services, and valet parking as required.
  • Ensure the lobby and concierge desk areas are tidy and presentable at all times.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in using hotel management software and office applications.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments.
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality guest service.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel or high-end customer service environment.
  • Fluency in a second language (e.g., Mandarin, Arabic, Japanese, European languages).
  • Knowledge of Melbourne's tourist attractions, cultural events, and dining scene.
  • Relevant diploma or certification in Hospitality Management.
