Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as an Orchard Offsider for the upcoming seasonal pruning and picking period. This role is crucial to our harvest success, involving hands-on work in our orchards located just outside of Portland. As an Orchard Offsider, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the health of our fruit trees and the efficient harvesting of our crops. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, are physically active, and want to gain experience in the agricultural industry. No prior experience is necessary; we provide all required training.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform seasonal pruning of fruit trees under supervision to ensure optimal growth and yield.
- Carefully pick ripe fruits, ensuring quality and minimizing damage, according to company standards.
- Assist with general orchard maintenance tasks, including clearing debris, weeding, and irrigation support.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines for orchard work.
- Work collaboratively with a team to meet daily production targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail to ensure quality fruit handling.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an outdoor or agricultural setting is a plus, but not required.

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (as orchards are outside city limits, carpooling options may be available).
