Job Description

Rentokil Initial is seeking a motivated Pest Control Assistant to join our dedicated team in Chipping Norton on a casual basis. This role is perfect for individuals eager to learn and develop practical skills, as it offers comprehensive training to equip you with the knowledge and techniques needed to support our experienced technicians. You will assist with various essential pest control tasks, ensuring the highest standards of service and customer satisfaction during your casual day shifts. No prior experience in pest control is required – we’re looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to reliability!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced Pest Control Technicians with routine inspections and treatments for various pests.
- Prepare equipment, materials, and vehicles for daily assignments, ensuring everything is ready for use.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work vehicle and all equipment in line with company standards.
- Strictly follow all health and safety guidelines, company protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and customers as required, representing Rentokil Initial positively.
- Actively participate in and complete all provided training modules and shadow experienced technicians to develop expertise in pest identification and treatment methods.
- Accurately document activities, observations, and service records using company systems.
- Support the team in delivering exceptional customer service and resolving pest issues efficiently.
Required Skills

- Ability to follow instructions precisely and work effectively as part of a team.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- A genuine willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and challenges.
- Basic physical fitness to carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
- A valid UK Driving License is essential, as the role may involve travel between customer sites.

- Previous experience in a hands-on, outdoor, or field-based role.
- A keen interest in environmental science, animal welfare, or pest management.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation and a polite, helpful demeanour.
