Job Description
Are you passionate about architecture and eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic studio environment? Hassell is offering an exciting work experience opportunity for aspiring architects and designers. This program is designed to provide you with invaluable insight into the day-to-day operations of a world-class architectural practice, exposing you to various project stages, design methodologies, and collaborative processes. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to real projects and learning directly from some of the industry’s best.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist architects and designers with research for ongoing projects
- Prepare presentation materials, including mood boards and physical models
- Undertake basic CAD drafting tasks and contribute to digital model development
- Organize and maintain design libraries and material samples
- Participate in studio meetings and workshops, observing design discussions and critiques
- Provide administrative support to the design teams as required
- Shadow team members during client meetings or site visits to understand project progression
Required Skills
- Strong passion for architecture and design
- Basic proficiency in architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited architecture, interior design, or urban planning program
- A foundational portfolio showcasing design interest and basic skills
- Prior exposure to architectural concepts or design principles
