Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Audiologist to join our clinical practice in Elizabeth, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional committed to providing exceptional hearing healthcare services. The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive audiological evaluations, hearing aid fittings, patient counseling, and developing personalized treatment plans. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, including audiometry, tympanometry, and otoacoustic emissions testing.
- Diagnose hearing loss and related auditory disorders.
- Prescribe, fit, and dispense a wide range of hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
- Provide thorough patient counseling regarding hearing loss, communication strategies, and device usage/maintenance.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and manage ongoing patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with professional and company standards.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
Required Skills
- Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or Master's degree in Audiology.
- Current state licensure as an Audiologist in New Jersey.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from ASHA or eligibility to obtain.
- Proven experience in audiological diagnostics and hearing aid dispensing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with audiological equipment and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of clinical experience as a practicing Audiologist.
- Experience with various hearing aid manufacturers and fitting software.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) is a plus, given the diverse community.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a dynamic clinical setting.
