Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Remote IT Specialist to provide crucial network and software support for our internal systems and users. This is a 100% remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere within Australia. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues related to network infrastructure and various software applications, ensuring seamless operations for our distributed workforce. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert remote technical support for network connectivity, hardware, and software issues.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems related to operating systems, applications, and network services.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Assist users with software installation, configuration, and general application support.
- Document technical solutions, procedures, and create knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate effectively with other IT teams and departments to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Ensure adherence to IT security policies and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical support needs, as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in IT support, focusing on network and software troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with common office productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, A+, CCNA, ITIL Foundation).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- Experience with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools.
