Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Bulk Stock Mover to join our team at the Cambridge, Tasmania store. In this ongoing full-time role, you will be crucial in ensuring our large format retail store is well-stocked and organised, ready for our customers. You will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of goods throughout the warehouse and sales floor, including receiving, unpacking, storing, and preparing stock for display. This role requires excellent attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently move bulk stock from receiving areas to designated storage locations or sales floor.
  • Unload incoming deliveries and verify contents against manifests, reporting any discrepancies.
  • Operate pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and other material handling equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Organise and consolidate stock in the warehouse to maximise space and accessibility.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation to minimise waste and ensure product freshness.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment in all stock areas.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including manual handling guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent heavy lifting (up to 25kg), bending, and standing for long periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling and inventory management.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Basic understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or logistics environment.
  • Current forklift license (LF or LO) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
