Job Description

Are you an early riser with a passion for animals and a desire to work outdoors? North Star Pastoral is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as a Farm Animal Feeder. This entry-level position is perfect for those looking to start a career in agriculture, as no prior experience is required – we will provide all necessary training. Your primary role will be ensuring the health and well-being of our farm animals through consistent morning feeding routines. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute feed and water to various farm animals according to established schedules and dietary requirements.
  • Monitor animal health and behavior, reporting any signs of illness, injury, or distress to supervisors.
  • Clean and maintain feeding areas, troughs, and animal enclosures to ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Assist with basic animal handling and movement as directed.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and animal welfare standards are strictly followed.
  • Maintain accurate records of feed consumption and animal observations.
  • Perform other general farm duties as required.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work early morning shifts consistently.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy feed bags and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A valid Australian Driver's License.
