Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Concierge Service Assistant to join the team at one of our prestigious luxury properties in Launceston, Tasmania. This role is perfect for an individual with a passion for exceptional customer service, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to create memorable experiences for our discerning guests. As a Concierge Service Assistant, you will be the face of our luxury property, providing personalized assistance and expert local knowledge to ensure every guest’s stay is perfect. This is a shift work position, requiring flexibility to cover various hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and assist guests with a wide range of inquiries and requests, ensuring a personalized and attentive service.
- Provide accurate and insightful information about local attractions, dining, transportation, and events.
- Handle guest requests efficiently, including booking restaurants, tours, transportation, and other services.
- Manage incoming and outgoing guest mail, packages, and messages.
- Maintain an organised and up-to-date knowledge base of local services, amenities, and cultural happenings.
- Collaborate closely with other departments (front desk, housekeeping, F&B) to anticipate and fulfill guest needs.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and guest privacy.
- Assist with special events and VIP services as required.
Required Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to guest needs.
- Proficiency in using hotel management software and standard office applications.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Impeccable presentation and a professional demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a concierge, front desk, or guest services role within a luxury hotel or similar high-end environment.
- Local knowledge of Launceston and Tasmania's attractions, dining, and cultural scene.
- Fluency in additional languages is a significant advantage.
- A relevant diploma or certification in hospitality management.
