Job Description
Are you a budding designer with a keen eye for branding and a passion for visual identity? Telstra is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Brand Design Intern to join our dynamic marketing and brand team in Gungahlin, ACT. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading Australian company, focusing specifically on the application, management, and evolution of our iconic logo and broader brand identity. You will work closely with experienced designers and marketing professionals, contributing to real-world projects that impact millions of Australians.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the consistent application of Telstra's brand guidelines across various marketing materials, digital platforms, and internal communications.
- Support the design team in preparing and reviewing creative assets to ensure accurate logo usage and brand identity placement.
- Help manage our digital asset library, ensuring all brand elements are up-to-date and accessible.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for new campaigns and initiatives, offering creative input on visual branding.
- Conduct competitive analysis and research on industry branding trends and best practices.
- Contribute to the development of internal brand education materials.
- Provide general administrative support to the brand design team as needed.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Basic understanding of graphic design principles and brand identity systems.
- Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to design execution.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant design, marketing, or communications program.
