Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and caring Cattery Hand to join our friendly team for part-time day shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves cats and is looking for easy, rewarding work in a professional animal care setting. Your primary role will be to ensure the comfort, cleanliness, and well-being of our feline guests during their stay with us. No prior experience is strictly necessary, as full training will be provided, but a genuine passion for animals is a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Feeding and watering cats according to their individual dietary requirements.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing cattery enclosures, litter trays, and common areas daily.
  • Monitoring the health and behaviour of cats and reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
  • Providing comfort, attention, and playtime to cats.
  • Administering medications as directed by veterinary staff (after training).
  • Maintaining accurate records of feeding, medication, and cleaning schedules.
  • Ensuring a safe, clean, and stress-free environment for all cattery guests.

Required Skills

  • A genuine love for cats and other animals.
  • Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously.
  • Strong attention to detail for cleanliness and animal welfare.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with animals (e.g., volunteer work, pet sitting).
  • Basic knowledge of feline behaviour and health indicators.
  • Ability to lift up to 10kg and stand for extended periods.
