Job Description

Goodstart Early Learning is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Childcare Trainees in Gold Coast, QLD. This is an incredible opportunity to kick-start your career in early childhood education, gaining hands-on experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification. We provide comprehensive study support, mentorship, and a clear pathway to becoming a qualified early childhood educator. Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified educators in delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning programs.
- Support children's daily routines, including meal times, rest periods, and hygiene practices.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all children.
- Observe and document children's progress and development under supervision.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Actively participate in learning and development opportunities related to your traineeship.
- Adhere to Goodstart's policies and procedures, including child protection guidelines.
Required Skills
- Genuine passion for working with young children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Willingness to undertake a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous volunteer or informal experience working with children.
- Basic first aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain immediately upon offer).
