Job Description
We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic All-Rounder to join our dynamic team at a regional pub and hotel property in Blacktown, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for hospitality to contribute across various operational areas, including bar service, food service, front desk operations, and general accommodation duties. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, customer-focused, and eager to learn, playing a crucial role in ensuring a high-quality experience for all our guests. You will be an integral part of our close-knit team, upholding our commitment to excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting and serving customers at the bar and in dining areas.
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately and processing payments.
- Preparing and serving drinks, including basic cocktails.
- Assisting with food preparation and presentation as required.
- Performing front desk duties for accommodation, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries.
- Managing room bookings and reservations system.
- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the bar, dining areas, and accommodation common areas.
- Assisting with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Handling guest complaints and feedback professionally.
- Ensuring compliance with responsible service of alcohol (RSA) regulations.
Required Skills
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate.
- Australian unrestricted working rights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a pub, hotel, or restaurant setting.
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Basic computer literacy for accommodation management software.
- First Aid certificate.
- Valid driver's license.
