Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Tree Ground Crew. This entry-level position offers incredible potential for growth and development, including comprehensive chainsaw operation training. If you love working outdoors, are physically fit, and eager to learn the ropes of professional arboriculture, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will work alongside experienced arborists, contributing to safe and efficient tree care operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist arborists with all ground-based tasks during tree removal, pruning, and planting operations.
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment, including chippers, chainsaws (after training), and various hand tools.
- Set up and maintain safe work zones, including traffic management and public protection.
- Clear debris, rake, and clean up job sites to ensure a tidy and safe environment.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials.
- Learn and adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety (or eagerness to learn).
- Valid Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in outdoor labor, landscaping, or construction.
- First Aid certification.
- Chainsaw experience (though training will be provided).
