Job Description

Are you passionate about live events and looking for a way to break into the vibrant world of theatre and concerts? Live Nation Australia is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Backstage Crew (Trainee) in Murray Bridge. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone with little to no prior experience, offering comprehensive on-the-job training. You will work alongside experienced professionals, learning the ropes of stage management, lighting, sound, rigging, and general stagehand duties. This role primarily involves night work, supporting various productions and events, ensuring smooth operations from setup to pack-down.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment, sets, and props for various productions and concerts.
• Learn and assist in the setup and dismantle of stages, lighting rigs, sound systems, and video screens.
• Follow instructions from Stage Managers, Technical Directors, and other senior crew members.
• Support the operational needs during live performances, including scene changes and artist requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment backstage.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of tools and heavy equipment.
• Perform general maintenance tasks as directed to ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Work collaboratively with the entire production team to ensure a successful event.
• Be available for night shifts, weekends, and irregular hours as required by show schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• A genuine interest in live entertainment, theatre, or music production.
• Previous experience in a physically demanding role or a fast-paced environment (e.g., warehousing, construction, hospitality).
• Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools (training will be provided).
• Reliable transportation to and from the venue, often during non-public transport hours.
• First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
