Job Description

Are you eager to kickstart a career in trades and learn valuable hands-on skills? Jim’s Handyman in Launceston is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Handyman’s Helper to join our growing team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn from experienced tradespeople. You’ll assist with various tasks, from basic repairs and maintenance to site preparation and clean-up, gaining exposure to a diverse range of projects. No prior experience is necessary – we provide on-the-job training and support to help you develop into a skilled professional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced handymen and tradespeople with various tasks on job sites.
  • Carry tools, equipment, and materials as required.
  • Prepare work areas by setting up drop cloths, protective barriers, and safety signage.
  • Perform basic tasks such as painting, cleaning, minor repairs, and assembly.
  • Help with site clean-up, waste removal, and organisation of tools and supplies.
  • Learn and apply safety protocols and best practices under supervision.
  • Maintain a professional and polite demeanor when interacting with clients.
