Job Description

Austeng is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Metal Polisher Assistant to join our growing team in Geelong. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals with little to no prior experience in metal polishing. We believe in investing in our people and will provide comprehensive on-the-job training to help you develop valuable skills and become a proficient metal polisher. Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced metal polishers with various tasks, including preparing metal surfaces for polishing.
- Learn and apply different polishing techniques using hand tools and power equipment under supervision.
- Clean, deburr, and finish metal components to meet quality standards and specifications.
- Inspect finished products for flaws and ensure they meet aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support general workshop duties as required, contributing to overall team efficiency.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and a strong desire to develop new skills in metal finishing.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
