Job Description
Are you passionate about technology and eager to kickstart your career in IT? Telstra is offering an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Intern (Level 1) to gain hands-on technical training and practical experience in a dynamic corporate environment. This full-time internship is designed for individuals with a foundational understanding of IT who are ready to learn and contribute to our IT operations. You will work alongside experienced professionals, providing essential technical support to our internal users and helping to maintain our robust IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Respond to user inquiries and support requests via phone, email, or in-person.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of new workstations and peripherals.
- Perform basic system diagnostics and maintenance tasks.
- Document support tickets, resolutions, and common issues in the service desk system.
- Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff.
- Contribute to maintaining accurate IT asset inventory.
- Participate in training sessions and learn about new technologies and IT best practices.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software systems (Windows OS, Microsoft Office suite).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Basic understanding of network concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN).
- Experience with basic troubleshooting of mobile devices.
