Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as Government Environmental Support, with a strong ‘Green Focus’. This role is crucial in assisting our environmental consulting teams with projects directly supporting government bodies and their environmental objectives. You will play a vital part in data collection, report preparation, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement to help deliver sustainable outcomes for our clients and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of environmental reports, assessments, and proposals for government clients.
- Conduct research and data collection on environmental regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Support project managers in coordinating field activities, including site visits and environmental monitoring.
- Liaise with government agency representatives, community groups, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and databases.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of environmental management plans.
- Provide administrative support to the environmental team as required.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of Australian environmental legislation and policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (internship or entry-level role) in an environmental consulting firm or government agency.
- Familiarity with GIS software.
- Knowledge of environmental impact assessment (EIA) processes.
- Driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites within South Australia.
