Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and physically fit Fencing Labourers to join our growing team in Melbourne. This role involves working on a variety of fencing projects, ranging from large rural properties to urban developments, ensuring the installation of high-quality fencing. You will be an integral part of our crew, assisting experienced fencers and contributing to the successful completion of projects on time and to specification. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment at various job sites.
  • Prepare work sites by clearing vegetation, digging post holes, and marking out fence lines.
  • Support skilled fencers in the installation of various types of fencing, including timber, wire, steel, and security fences.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
  • Perform general labouring duties as required.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
  • Reliable and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety.
  • Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment (advantageous).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a labouring or construction role (minimum 6 months).
  • Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
  • Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transport.
  • Experience with fencing specific tools and techniques.
