Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and physically fit Fencing Labourers to join our growing team in Melbourne. This role involves working on a variety of fencing projects, ranging from large rural properties to urban developments, ensuring the installation of high-quality fencing. You will be an integral part of our crew, assisting experienced fencers and contributing to the successful completion of projects on time and to specification. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment at various job sites.
- Prepare work sites by clearing vegetation, digging post holes, and marking out fence lines.
- Support skilled fencers in the installation of various types of fencing, including timber, wire, steel, and security fences.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
- Perform general labouring duties as required.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Reliable and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment (advantageous).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a labouring or construction role (minimum 6 months).
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transport.
- Experience with fencing specific tools and techniques.
