Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Concreter’s Assistant to join our dynamic team for casual day shifts in the Tuggeranong region. This role offers high reward for individuals who are keen to learn, physically fit, and dedicated to supporting our skilled concreters on various construction sites. You will play a crucial role in preparing sites, assisting with concrete pours, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible work hours and competitive pay within a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting skilled concreters with all aspects of concrete placement and finishing.
- Preparing sites, including excavation, formwork setup, and rebar placement.
- Mixing, pouring, spreading, and leveling concrete as directed.
- Operating basic hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.
- Adhering to all site safety regulations and company policies.
- Manual handling of materials and equipment.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety (or willingness to learn immediately).
- White Card (Construction Induction Card) or willingness to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a construction or manual labour role.
- Experience with concrete tools and machinery.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transport.
- First Aid certification.
