Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Day Shift Courier to join our team in Bairnsdale for casual work. As a Casual Courier, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe delivery and collection of parcels and packages within the local Bairnsdale area. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load, transport, and unload parcels and packages.
- Deliver and collect items according to daily schedules and routes.
- Ensure accurate completion of delivery documentation and digital records.
- Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness of the company vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License (Class C or equivalent).
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25kg.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Basic knowledge of the Bairnsdale local area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a courier, delivery, or logistics role.
- Experience operating a commercial van or light truck.
- Familiarity with handheld scanning devices and delivery software.
