Job Description
IDEO is offering an exciting work experience opportunity within our dynamic Graphic Design Studio. This hands-on program is designed for aspiring graphic designers eager to immerse themselves in a professional design environment, gain practical experience, and contribute to real-world projects. You will work alongside experienced designers, learning about our design process, studio operations, and the nuances of client work. This is an ideal chance to build your portfolio, expand your network, and solidify your foundational design skills in a supportive and innovative setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers with various graphic design tasks, including asset creation, layout design, and presentation preparation.
- Support the development of visual concepts for client projects and internal initiatives.
- Conduct research on design trends, best practices, and competitive landscapes.
- Prepare design files for production, ensuring accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and design critiques, offering fresh perspectives.
- Help maintain the studio's asset library and organizational systems.
- Learn to use and apply IDEO's design methodologies and tools.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Fundamental understanding of graphic design principles, typography, and color theory.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
- Basic communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a design-related program.
