Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented WFH Legal Secretary to join our fully remote law firm. In this critical support role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice by providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial assistance to attorneys. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain attorney calendars, scheduling appointments, meetings, and court appearances.
  • Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings with exceptional accuracy.
  • Handle client communications, including answering phones, drafting emails, and managing client intake processes.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files, ensuring all documentation is current and easily accessible.
  • Assist with e-filing documents with various courts and administrative agencies.
  • Conduct basic legal research and factual investigation as directed by attorneys.
  • Process expense reports, manage invoices, and track billing hours.
  • Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including data entry, scanning, and copying.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a law firm setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures.
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies or Legal Secretarial Science.
  • Experience with legal practice management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, AbacusLaw).
  • Prior experience in a fully remote work setting.
  • Knowledge of specific legal areas such as labor & employment law.
