Job Description
Join the team at Toll Group as a Warehouse Sorter in Traralgon, VIC! We’re seeking dedicated and efficient individuals for immediate hire. This is a hands-on, on-site role crucial to our logistics operations, focusing on the accurate and timely processing of packages. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Successful candidates will be part of a dynamic team ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort and scan incoming and outgoing packages based on destination and delivery requirements.
- Load and unload parcels and freight from trucks and conveyor belts with care.
- Ensure proper handling of all items to prevent damage and maintain product integrity.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company standards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks (training will be provided if required).
- Communicate effectively and collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 20kg repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in sorting and scanning.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong and proactive work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic understanding and adherence to general warehouse safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or similar fast-paced operational environment.
- Current forklift license (though not essential for this specific sorter role, it is a bonus).
- Familiarity with scanning equipment and warehouse management systems.
