Job Description
Join our team as a Vineyard Pruner for the upcoming winter season in the Maryborough region. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals seeking outdoor, active work, with specific appeal to backpackers looking to complete regional work requirements for their visa. You will be an integral part of our vineyard operations, contributing to the health and productivity of the vines through careful winter pruning. Training will be provided, making this an excellent entry point for those new to viticulture.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform winter pruning tasks according to vineyard specifications and training.
- Carefully cut and remove unwanted canes and spurs to optimise vine growth and fruit production.
- Identify and address any vine health issues during pruning.
- Maintain a high standard of work quality and efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use pruning tools responsibly.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet pruning targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (cold, rain).
