Job Description

Join Southern Cross University as a University Research Admin, a pivotal role supporting our vibrant research community in Grafton. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of research projects, from application through to completion. You will be instrumental in facilitating groundbreaking research by providing comprehensive administrative support to researchers and faculty, managing research grants, ethics applications, and compliance documentation. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a dynamic academic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support for research grant applications, including budget preparation and submission coordination.
  • Manage research ethics applications and ensure compliance with university policies and external regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor research project timelines, milestones, and reporting requirements.
  • Assist researchers with post-award administration, including financial tracking and progress reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records of research activities, publications, and grant outcomes.
  • Facilitate workshops and information sessions on research administration processes.
  • Act as a key liaison between researchers, university departments, and external funding bodies.

Required Skills

  • Proven administrative experience, preferably in a research or higher education setting.
