Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Safely guide vehicles and pedestrians around construction sites, ensuring clear passage and minimizing risks.
- Control and coordinate the movement of site traffic, including HGVs and other heavy machinery.
- Communicate effectively with vehicle operators, site personnel, and the public using appropriate hand signals and verbal instructions.
- Monitor site entrances and exits, maintaining accurate records of vehicle movements where required.
- Ensure all site safety procedures are followed and report any potential hazards or incidents immediately.
- Assist with the maintenance of clear and safe pedestrian walkways.
- Maintain a professional and calm demeanor at all times, even in busy environments.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of health and safety principles.
- Ability to work effectively in an outdoor, fast-paced construction environment.
- High level of vigilance and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Traffic Marshall or Banksman certification (e.g., NPORS, CPCS).
- Previous experience in a similar role within construction or logistics.
