Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and physically fit Rural Shed Builder Assistant to join our construction team in Gosford. This role involves manual labour and assisting skilled builders in the assembly and erection of various rural sheds and structures. You will be responsible for preparing sites, handling materials, using power tools, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic who enjoys working outdoors and wants to learn and grow within the building industry. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead builders in the assembly and erection of rural sheds and steel structures.
  • Prepare construction sites, including clearing, levelling, and foundation work.
  • Safely load, unload, and transport building materials and tools.
  • Operate various hand and power tools under supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies on-site.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Perform general labouring tasks as required to support the construction process.
  • Learn and develop new skills in shed construction and general building practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures on a construction site.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a construction or manual labour role (6 months+).
  • Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
  • Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
  • Forklift licence (advantageous).
  • First Aid certification.
