Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in Berri, focusing on the essential infrastructure within the public sector utilities. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and strategic development of vital water and wastewater assets in the region. You will play a key part in safeguarding the community’s access to critical services and contributing to long-term infrastructure resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess the performance and condition of existing water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure upgrade projects and new developments.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant industry standards, environmental regulations, and government policies.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, operational teams, and external stakeholders.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, technical documentation, and presentations on infrastructure status, project progress, and future needs.
- Support incident response and emergency management efforts related to infrastructure failures.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of asset management strategies.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of public sector operations and utility management principles.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, particularly those related to water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in using project management software and relevant technical tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
