Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Night Shift Maintenance professional to join our team in Bendigo on a part-time roster. This role is crucial for ensuring the operational readiness and safety of our facility during non-trading hours. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, addressing minor repairs, and conducting preventative checks to support seamless daily operations. Key Responsibilities
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot minor mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform general facility upkeep, including painting, minor carpentry, and plumbing.
- Conduct regular safety checks and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Assist with facility security procedures during night shifts.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a maintenance or handyman role.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work night shifts on a part-time roster.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, Electrotechnology).
- Prior experience in a retail or warehouse environment.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Forklift license (preferred but not essential).
