Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organised Linen Assistant to join our logistics team in Maryborough, supporting our hotel and hospital clients. This vital role involves the efficient management, distribution, and collection of linen to ensure our clients always have clean, fresh supplies. The successful candidate will be a proactive team player with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, count, and prepare linen for distribution to hotels and hospitals.
- Deliver clean linen to designated client locations and departments.
- Collect soiled linen from client sites following established hygiene protocols.
- Inspect linen for damage or excessive wear and report as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of linen inventory and movements.
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, if required.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry, logistics, or hotel/hospital environment.
- Current valid Australian driver's license (manual preferred).
- Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or similar equipment.
